Sometime a couple of years ago I created the blueprint for my 5-year plan. Shortly after it went completely out the window.

Not that those goals weren’t important to me…we all know we can dream up all the timelines we want, but that’s just not how life works. It’s not just about the timing of things, it’s about the many adventures that make up the grand one…and being able to handle the unexpected with a smile (*coughs* My adorable son Cameron born July 1st, 2009).

While my life is far from perfect right now, I am happy with the way things are going. I’m doing the things I love and surrounded by people who love me.

The most helpful advice I could give to anyone right now is to listen to your intuition & pray about what it’s telling you.

I’m just a small town girl with big city dreams actively seeking inspiration to live a purposeful life and be a contributing member of society. I find inspiration in family, friends, and virtually everything around me. I’ve got a lot to live for, a lot to thank God for, a lot of love to give and good reasons to seek my full potential in all aspects of my life.

*Today is my 23rd birthday and I’m not even gonna try to plan exactly where I’m going in the coming years. I’ll just listen to my intuition, pray, and enjoy the ride.

Spiked Intuition Customized Shoes By Ashlei Banks

Yesterday started off horrible but ended with a bang! After a hectic morning my afternoon picked up dramatically. First thing I did was pray (my day & mood seems to be better when I do). My morning meditation session was followed by replying to emails, contacting stylist regarding ongoing projects, shipping out pulls, retrieving merchandise, working on the look for my models in Ricky Da’Vista’s 3rd Annual Fashion Show, MAZstyle photo shoot & then a divine appointment with my big sis Tai at Bible Study. I had to do all of this while managing Cam’s afternoon dates as well. Insane.

I had the opportunity to work with the incredible women behind MAZstyle, Mariselle Serrano & Azua Azurveda, during a recent photo shoot with professional photographer Sam Chyung for their new website scheduled to launch January 2012. Model Mina Echevarria totally conquered the final look, wearing eyewear by Ricky Da’Vista & Spiked Intuition customized shoes. MAZstyle will offer services including wardrobe, hair & makeup styling, as well as instructional makeup classes. Both women have their own incredible story and resume’s to brag about that is consigned by their work. I won’t say too much because the site isn’t launched yet but here’s a few BTS (Behind the Scenes) pics.

Yes, that’s me pictured above with absolutely no make-up on. I had no time for a make-up appointment and that is exactly why I will be the first to sign up for MAZstyle’s make-up classes. My 1st appointment with MAZstyle was for the BlackOut party that I attended early November. I am a skeptic when it comes to full face make-up, so take it from me-BOOK THEM!
